Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies used on taranac.pro (the marketing, docs and blog site) and how you control them. It does not cover the self-hosted Taranac product or the Taranac MFA app — the MFA app is covered by its own Privacy Policy.
What we use
Section titled “What we use”We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are read, roughly where traffic comes from) so we can improve it. That is the only cookie-setting technology on the site. We run no advertising, no remarketing, and no third-party tracking pixels.
Cookies set
Section titled “Cookies set”Google Analytics sets these first-party cookies only after analytics is active (see Your choice below):

If analytics never activates for you, none of these cookies are set.
Your choice
Section titled “Your choice”How analytics behaves depends on where you are, so we respect the stricter local rules automatically:
- EU / EEA, the UK and Switzerland — analytics is off by default. Nothing loads and no cookies are set until you press Accept in the cookie banner. This is opt-in consent under the GDPR.
- Everywhere else — analytics starts when you open the site, and the banner lets you Decline at any time. Declining switches Google Analytics off and deletes the cookies above.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser and remembered on future visits. Clearing your browser storage resets it, and the banner will ask again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Data and retention
Section titled “Data and retention”Google Analytics processes usage data on our behalf; IP addresses are anonymised by Google Analytics 4 by design and we do not collect names, emails or other data that identifies you through the site. Google may process this data on servers outside the EU/EEA (in the United States); such transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
